Jermaine & Jermaine Servants of U Lord
Born the summer of 2006 in the great city of Detroit, two brothers in Christ, Jermaine Johnson and W. Jermaine James, formed Jay & Jay Soul. The legend has it that two young men were delivered from a lifestyle that could have potentially ended their lives as we know them today. The two friends began to seek a life of righteousness true to the meaning of the word. This journey kicked off with some self evaluations, starting with their entertainment, hip hop. J’Wil led the revolution by completely stripping his collection of music of over 100 CDS that lyrically expressed the opposite of a Christian lifestyle. Jay Johnson, reluctant at first, soon followed with the same acts.
Although delivered from what they believe was designed by the enemy to ultimately destroy them, their walk hasn’t been easy, but with Jesus they’ve survived separation, rejection, disrespect, and even self doubt. READ ON!!!
With rap being a simplistic way of explaining what they do, their focus is on being a ministering duo. As far as the sound, it wouldn’t be fair to the listeners to try and define the J.J.S. sound; you can’t explain what hasn’t been heard.
